I’ve almost got recurring appointments working in PocketOutlook. After receiving an unprecedented number of “Native method call failed” errors, I finally realized that you have to set certain properties in a certain order. The AppointmentRecurrence class is a mean, mean object to be working with at 2am.
Always remember to set the Appointment.RecurrencePattern.RecurrenceType before you start setting other properties of the RecurrencePattern! If you visit that the RecurrenceType property page on MSDN, you’ll see in the Remarks field this kind note: This property must be set before any of the other Recurrence properties.
I am very much looking forward to recurring event cync support as most of my calendar entries are recurring events, but they are usually wierd ones like every 3rd friday of the month, and another is every 2,3,4th Thursday (all as seperate events ovbiously) and a different one as the 1st thursday… it’s very confusing!
Next would be 2-way sync, I hope that can be implimented in the future!
Thanks!!
eh, oh boy… I really can’t type or spell today can I?
Hi Kristopher,
I will be releasing a version 1.2 of GMobileSync with recurring appointments later today. It still needs to be tested under some more complex conditions like you have but it’s pretty solid. I’ll post more about it later today.
Thanks!
I got this error: Native method call failed, on a HTC s620 what do i have to do to fix this? thanks great software.
I’m having the same issue with “Native Method Call Failedâ€?
It happens when I try to sync. It seems to download a few items before displaying the error.
I’ve removed all recurring appointments from both my phone and my GCalendar.
Any suggestions?
